UNIFLUX® Ammonia Heater Features
There are many applications of ammonia for industrial use. One of the most common uses of ammonia is as fertilizer for the agriculture industry. Ammonia heaters are used to heat pressurized cryogenic liquid from around -30°F to approximately +40°F. This allows for the ammonia to be stored in the pressurized liquid phase and loaded into tanker trucks for easier transport to the ultimate destination. The UNIFLUX® heater design is ideal for this application due to the ability to handle and control cyclic temperature fluctuations. The UNIFLUX ammonia heater is designed to handle condensing combustion products that are cooled by the cold process tube walls.
UNIFLUX® Ammonia Heater Features
- Incorporates condensate draining into the heater shell bottom panel
- Convection heat transfer results in a uniform heat transfer flux rate to the ammonia
- Predictable tube wall temperatures without hot spots
- Short flame burner prevents tube flame impingement
- Low-pressure drop
- Close temperature control under rapid cycling service
- Rapid response to heat load requirements
- Low NOx rapid mixing forced draft burner design
