Uniflux Regeneration Gas Heater

Natural gas flowing from production wells or underground storage requires dehydration to protect the distribution system from corrosion and hydrate formation.  In the commonly used solid desiccant absorption dehydration process, wet gas flows through a pressure vessel tower filled with solid desiccant.  The moisture is absorbed on to the surface of the desiccant and the gas leaves the tower dry.  When the desiccant is saturated with moisture, the gas flow is switched to another tower having dry desiccant.  The convective heat transfer design of the Uniflux ® regeneration gas heater is ideal for gently heating the regeneration gas, and send it to the wet desiccant tower to dry out the desiccant.  Regeneration gas heaters operate at temperatures between 450 F and 650 F, and pressures up to 1100 Psig.  Localized areas of elevated temperatures on the heat transfer coil at this high operating pressure can result in tube failures.

The Uniflux ® regeneration gas heater overcomes this problem that occurs in other types of fired heaters.  It reliably operates in this critical process because of the high velocity short flame burner and convection heat transfer design that eliminates the potential for hot spots on the tubes.  Very uniform tube wall temperatures are a result of this unique design.  Over the years, dozens of safe, long lasgint, and reliable Uniflux ® regeneration gas heaters have been supplied to customers for solid desiccant absorption dehydration process plants.
